How to verify genuine Marley products in the UAE

Marley is a British brand owned by the Aliaxis group. For the UAE and GCC the range is manufactured at KEZAD, Abu Dhabi by Vivasvaan Industrial Co. (SP) LLC under licence. If you are specifying or buying Marley soil, waste or drainage products, these are the checks that confirm what you are getting — and we will support every one of them in writing.

The markings on the pipe

Marley pipes and fittings carry the brand name, the nominal size, the material and the standard they are made to, printed or moulded on the product itself. Check that the standard matches the application: BS EN 1329-1 above ground, BS EN 1401-1 underground, BS EN 1455-1 for ABS waste.

The Kitemark licence

Ask for the BSI Kitemark licence number covering the item, then verify it independently in BSI’s own certificate directory. Our licences are listed on the quality page with the standard and scope for each.

The product code

Every item in the range has a Marley product code. Check the code on the quotation and the delivery note against the technical manual. If a code does not appear there, ask before you accept the delivery.

The documents

For a project you should be able to obtain: the product datasheet, the Kitemark certificate, the ISO 9001 certificate, the material submittal and the delivery documentation naming the manufacturer. We supply these on request.

Marley products for the UAE are supplied from the Abu Dhabi plant and through our supply partners. If you are not sure whether a supplier is buying from us, ask us — we will confirm it for your project.

Who owns the Marley brand?

Marley Plumbing & Drainage is part of the Aliaxis group. Marley® is a registered trademark of the Aliaxis group.

Is Marley manufactured in the UAE genuine Marley?

Yes. It is manufactured under a licence agreement with Marley Plumbing & Drainage UK (Aliaxis), at KEZAD in Abu Dhabi, to the same British and European standards, with BSI Kitemark licences held at the plant.

How do I check a Kitemark licence number?

BSI publishes a public certificate directory where a licence number can be searched and the holder, standard and scope confirmed. Ask us for the licence number covering your items and check it there.

What documents should I ask for on a project?

Product datasheet, Kitemark certificate, ISO 9001 certificate, material submittal and a delivery note naming the manufacturer. Request them through the contact page.

Can you confirm whether my supplier is buying from you?
