Sizes and jointing

Soil pipe is supplied in 82, 110, 160 and 200mm. Push-fit ring-seal joints absorb thermal movement and are the usual choice for stacks; solvent weld gives a rigid joint for cast-in and concealed riser work. Both jointing methods are available across the range, and the fittings are dimensionally compatible.

Where it is used

Discharge stacks and branch pipework in villas, residential towers, hotels and commercial buildings — carrying soil discharge from WCs and urinals, and acting as the ventilating stack above the highest connection.

Installation notes

Support centres, expansion allowance and jointing sequence are set out in the GCC technical manual. PVC-U expands with temperature, which matters in Gulf conditions: use ring-seal joints or purpose-made expansion sockets at the stated intervals.

110mm is the standard soil stack size for residential and most commercial work, with 160mm and 200mm used for larger stacks and high-rise applications. 82mm is used for smaller branch runs.
